Lesson title: Sun and Seasons

Description: What makes day and night? Why does the Moon change shape? Why are days short in the winter, but long in summer? Students will explore the positions of the sun and Moon through the day and night, through the month, and through the year.

Standards addressed:

1) S2E2 investigate the position of sun and moon to show patterns throughout the year.
2) S2E3 observe and record changes in their surroundings and infer the causes of the changes.
