Atlanta Astronomy Club Meeting

A special Solar observing program will start at 11:00AM till 3:00PM. Please join us for this very informative program observing Sunspots and solar flares.

2:00 PM: Beginners Class. This is a short 15 minute class followed by a Q & A. It is designed to help put beginners on a quick learning track. This should make it easier to get up to speed and enjoy all the various aspects of Astronomy. Each month will feature a different subject.

3:00 PM Main Meeting

This month program: Solar observing. Learn about what is going on inside our home star. Find out what causes Sunspots and Solar flares. Our home stars interaction with Earth's magnetic field can cause problems here on Earth. Find out about those problems and how it can affect you.

Our Speaker: Stephen Ramsden is the founder and director of the world's largest Solar Astronomy educational outreach program, "The Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project".
