  • Entirely black plumage
  • Squared-off tail
  • Very common in urban and agricultural areas

The Common Crow is an opportunist that has been able to occupy a number of habitats, including coastal areas, towns, fields, and the edge of forests. Crows are found throughout North America except in deserts, deep thickets, and on mountain tops.

The crow is common in Atlanta and can be seen almost anywhere.  Pay close attention to open grassy areas and the tops of buildings.
