Jim Dillon has been the cabinetmaker at Fernbank Science Center since 2006. At FSC, he builds exhibits, cabinetry, and teaching apparatuses. He also repairs and refurbishes older exhibits and cabinetry as needed, and helps with general maintenance of the facility. His college degrees are in English, and he taught writing for a number of years before becoming a full-time woodworker in 1998. In his spare time, Jim combines his woodworking and educational backgrounds by teaching woodworking classes at Highland Woodworking in Atlanta and other venues.
