Field Marks
  • Black sturdy bill
  • Blue crest and upper parts
  • Black eye line and breast band
  • Grayish-white throat and under parts
  • Bright blue wings with black bars and white patches
  • Long blue tail with black bars and white corners

Habitat

Blue jays prefer living in evergreen forests, but they can also be found in farmlands, groves, and suburbs.

Status

An abundant permanent resident of the Atlanta area.
