Habitat

Canada Geese must have open water with low banks so they can have access to aquatic plants. Places such as swamps marshes, meadows, and lakes are among some of the favorite nesting areas.  

Status

Canada Geese are common permanent residents in the Atlanta area. They are often seen in ponds at golf courses.
