Field Marks
  • Sharply-pointed bill
  • Often flocks with other species of blackbirds
  • Bright red patch on wings bordered by yellow 
  • Immature male similar to adult male but has brown edges to black feathers

Habitat

Frequents marshy habitats in summer, open habitats at other times of year.

Status

Permanent resident in Atlanta.
